I've been (sort of) expecting you!

Hello and welcome back to the Key Stage Two Blog!

I hope you are all well and that you have had a good week?

To find out what's been going on Key Stage Two, please do have a look at our Facebook Page:

Dorchester Middle School - DMS

However, here are a few things that didn't make it onto the page...

Cloakroom Gods!

A HUGE thank you to Jack and Orlando for staying behind after school this week to help me and Miss Easton tidy up and sort out the Year Five Cloakroom. Along with the lovely Sam, these boys have worked hard to make sure that our cloakrooms are something to be proud of!

Before...

After!

We did have a tentative look upstairs in Year Six but felt that it was one step too far!

Year Five, please keep your cloakroom tidy - there are no excuses not to!

An invite for James

This is young James in Year Five. He was invited, along with other children, to have a milkshake with Mrs Williams in acknowledgement for his representation of the word 'Responsibility' this week. Well done James, I am so proud of you!

Drop Down Writing Event

Although there was lots of World Book Day excitement on Thursday, the whole school actually took part in a DASP Writing Event that started in Lesson 1 and finished at the end of Lesson 4.

Here are a few of the photographs of our Key Stage Two children in action. I warn you now, I took LOADS of pictures...

How many of you actually entered the DASP competitions/
I can't wait to see how you have done!

Miss Easton

This is our new Key Stage Two Learning Mentor - Miss Easton!
She has been working at Dorchester Middle School for a while is also a Teaching Assistant in our Physical Disabilities Base so she is wearing two hats during the school day.

We're breaking her in gently!

Please remember that your child's Homebase Tutor should always be your first point of contact!

Well, that's it for this week. My intention that the next Blog will be at half term but I just can't resist it can I?

Mrs Ray
